| Parents Of Autistic Children of Northern Virginia Information and Support Group Meeting.
The topic is “Autism Spectrum Disorders and Public Safety Considerations: Guidance for Families, Caregivers, and Self-Advocates” by Scott Campbell, a member of the Virginia Autism Public Safety Workgroup Learn how to keep your loved one with autism and yourself proactively safe. It is FREE and open to the public. It is on Saturday, 16 February from 1 to 4pm In the auditorium of the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, 8900 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA (From the I-495 Capital Beltway, take exit 52A for Little River Turnpike West; also called Route 236 West. The JCCNV is located on the right-hand side, 1.5 miles west on Little River Turnpike, at the intersection of Guinea Road.) IMPORTANT: Free Childcare is Available at this Meeting!
Free Childcare is available at most meetings excluding our Annual BBQ, Holiday Party, and Sports & Rec Fair! We will have only 10 slots available each meeting. All slots are first-come, first-serve and are by reservation only. Please email rsvp@poac-nova.org to reserve your spot no later than noon on the Thursday before the meeting. This MUST be done for EVERY single child whether disabled or not for each meeting! You will also need to fill out a waiver available at http://www.poac-nova.org/pdfs/poac-nova-2page-waiver-recording_and_liability.pdf. Please be sure to bring a bag of activities for your child when you drop him/her off in childcare. We can only supply coloring activities. If possible, please label your child's belongings/toys in case they are mixed up with other toys that other children bring. |
