PVBIA Presents a Video Club where we will view Dr. Vincent Carbone's Applied Behavior Analysis DVDs.

The cost will be $128 per person.

Dr. Carbone is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 30 years of experience creating learning environments for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Dr. Carbone’s work within the field of applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior has affected the lives of countless families and children. From his vast experiences and research he has created a series of CD modules which introduce, explain, and model the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior as it applies to children with autism and developmental disabilities.

His CD modules include:
• Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior
• Teaching Learner Cooperation: Part I
• Teaching Learner Cooperation: Part II
• Instructional Variables and Teaching Procedures
• B.F. Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior
• Selecting an Augmentative/Alternative Method of Communication
• Teaching Non-Vocal Learners to Talk

Join us to view and discuss the information presented within these modules. Gain an introduction to and strong foundation in applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior. Begin to understand how you too can create situations and contingencies to teach your child verbal behavior in a positive learning environment. The CD modules will be viewed as a group and then small group discussions will follow to figure how best to apply the information presented to your child’s life. Viewings and discussion will be facilitated by a graduate student in the POAC-NoVA PVBIA practicum program.
